Ever wondered why jack-o-lanterns are called jack-o-lanterns?
well...
there used to be these creatures called olantarns, and they were all black, except for their heads, which were orange, and had a tiny black tuft of hair (and their eyes glowed). One day an olantarn named jack found a hole in somebodies porch and crawled in. Unfortunately, it was stuck. The next day someone asked what it was. "what's that?" "um... a pumpkin?"
"whys it glowing?" "uh... a candle." "what's it called?" "um... a jack-o-lantern"
after that people carved pumpkins at Halloween.
So that's the reason! Very clever, Halvor. Keep it up :)
